Emma Riordon

My name is Emma Riordon, and I am currently a freshman at University of Massachusetts, Amherst studying art. The arts have always played a large role in my life, it shaped me as a person. As the daughter of an artist, I have been taught to channel my emotions into drawing and painting, and it has become an incredible outlet for me. When I was younger, all I wanted to do was to become an artist and pursue my passion, and this scholarship has pushed me one step closer to realizing that dream. I am deeply honored to have been awarded this scholarship in her memory, and hope to live by her eternal message of kindness, compassion and strength.
